Effect of Midlife Cardiovascular Conditions on Cognitive Decline Varies by Sex

Midlife cardiovascular conditions are tied to cognitive decline, with stronger effects in women. In 1,857 people aged 50 to 69 years at baseline, coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions were associated with global cognition decline only in women, despite higher prevalence in men.
