Some menopause symptoms are tied to midlife cognitive decline. Among 404 women (aged 40 to 65 years), severe depression and sexual dysfunction were tied to significantly lower scores for orientation, registration, attention, recall, and language/visuospatial skills vs. mild symptoms.
