Mental Health Problems More Common Among Head, Neck Cancer Survivors

Head and neck cancer (HNC) survivors exhibit higher rates of substance abuse and mental health disorders vs. survivors of other cancers. Among 918 HNC survivors and 3,672 matched cancer controls, HNC survivors had a greater incidence of smoking, heavy drinking, and mental health problems.
