Survival Increases for Patients Who Quit Smoking After Lung Cancer Diagnosis

Smoking cessation following a lung cancer diagnosis increases the likelihood of survival. Results of a meta-analysis of 21 studies including more than 10,000 lung cancer patients showed a significant overall survival improvement among patients who quit smoking at or around diagnosis or treatment.
