Time from breast cancer diagnosis to surgery of nine weeks or longer is linked to worse overall survival. In a cohort of 373,334 patients, researchers found that time to surgery of nine weeks or later vs. surgery zero to four weeks after diagnosis was tied to worse overall survival.
