Timing of Colonoscopy Affects Response to Steroids in UC

Performing colonoscopy near steroid initiation is associated with less time on steroids for patients with ulcerative colitis. Among 1,853 patients, shorter duration of steroid treatment was tied to colonoscopy at no longer than one month before or at index date and higher steroid dose at index date.
