Split meals at restaurants

(HealthDayNews) -- If you're eating just three meals a day, avoiding unnecessary and unhealthy snacks, and still can't lose weight, try controlling your portions at mealtimes.

According to the Johns Hopkins University Health After 50 newsletter, a recent study showed that 70 percent of people finish all of their food most or all of the time, regardless of portion size.

So instead of licking your plate clean, try splitting meals at restaurants or taking home a doggie bag.
