How to Eat Right

Dietitians offer advice

(HealthDayNews) -- Your goal is to reduce your daily fat intake to a maximum 30 percent of total food energy. But watching every gram of fat is depleting all your mental energy.

So here's a tip from the Journal of the American Dietetic Association. If you find yourself doing the things on this list, the likelihood is that you're doing everything else right too:

  • Eat low-fat cheese.
  • Eat bread without added fat.
  • Eat chicken without the skin.
  • Have fruits and vegetables at snack time.
  • Use low calorie salad dressing.
