A Taste of Honey

Not a sweet idea for pacifiers

You might think it's a honey of an idea to put the sweet product of bees on your infant's pacifier, but the Texas Medical Center and Texas Children's Hospital say you should think again.

While babies might like the sweet taste at first, they may pay for it soon afterwards. That's because honey contains bacteria that are harmless to older people but can cause illness in infants.

In fact, your baby could end up with a case of botulism, which can be fatal.
