It's one meal you shouldn't skip

You've no doubt heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Still, with all the rushing around to get the kids going and yourself to work on time, it's an easy meal to skip.

You may want to reconsider. Numerous studies in recent years confirm that the morning meal is the key to your day.

If you find it hard to find time for breakfast, health experts offer these tips:

  • Make a meal out of ready-to-eat foods like cold cereal, canned fruits and the like;
  • Prepare foods you can carry with you, such as celery stuffed with peanut butter;
  • If cereal seems too blah, dress it up with fruit.
  • If you aren't hungry, at least drink some fruit juice.

And if you're trying to lose weight, don't skip meals. There's no evidence that it helps shed pounds.
