Remedy for E coli

It's quick and easy

(HealthDayNews) -- Harmful bacteria like E. coli are more likely to pitch camp in your kitchen than in your toilet.

They particularly like to colonize your sponges, dish rags and cutting boards, because those surfaces are moist and contain small particles of food.

Microbiologists have discovered one easy way to kill them: Stick those items in your microwave oven. Add water. A wet sponge takes one minute, a dishrag requires three minutes, and a wooden cutting board needs 10 minutes.
